As you might have heard, we are opening the doors of the new Alston Community Workshop on Saturday 26th Feb for the first of the monthly Repair Cafes to be held at our permanent venue at the Town Hall Annex in Alston, from 10am until 3pm.
We have now completed on eight properties on the Front Street

A ‘Gateway’ public realm scheme at Townfoot aims to help to give a much-needed boost to the local economy and increase business confidence, bringing more visitors into the town as well as encouraging residents to make more use of their local shops and town centre.
At the end of 2019, the Lottery funded Town Heritage Scheme generously awarded a sum of money for the purchase of a Thermal Image Camera to be used for the benefit of the Alston Moor Community under the guidance of the Alston Moor Partnership (AMP).
As soon as I’d finished the Community Plan document at the end of March, my thoughts and energy turned to my garden and my conservatory. While my focus has (at least some of the time…) been elsewhere, over the last few months, the Plan has been quietly informing some small actions and seeding future possibilities.
