Communications
In the early 21st century, Cybermoor (a local social enterprise) made it possible for almost everyone on Alston Moor to have broadband. Now they are bringing superfast broadband via fibre-optic cable to the main centres, but there is a very real danger that outlying homes are left even further behind. We need to think about this as a community. We’re also very aware of the need for good communications in ALL ways – how can we ensure everyone knows what’s going on, feels involved and engaged, whether or not they use the internet? Any ideas?
