It doesn’t take a genius to recognise that farmers are the ones who keep our landscape in good order. At the same time, farming here is tough, and farmers are always looking to diversify. There seem to be significant opportunities for provision of renewable energy, but that is just one of the ways in which farmers are a major part of the future of Alston Moor.
